ITALY. Verona. Uniface Plaquette (Bronze, 73 x 56 mm, 83.53 g), Mars and Victory. By G. Mondella (1467-1528), but an old aftercast from the 16th-17th centuries, no date. Helmeted Mars, carrying a trophy of arms over his left shoulder, leading Victory, holding a palm branch in her right hand, to right. Rev. Our piece has the same measurements as the example from the Alain Edrei Collection. Its high casting quality is also consistent with that piece (cf. Morton & Eden 121, 20 April 2023, 35).
